A Different Kind Of Show

Reading Time: 3 minutes

My head is exploding with ideas for more and more playlists on my YouTube Channel. I gotta slow down a little bit; I don’t want to end up like a crazy person, talking to imaginary people. I know. I already do that. But that’s the honest job of a writer; you see, we talk to the characters we create. However, what I think it’s gonna make me qualify for the madhouse is to claim that my characters have a mind of their own and decide whether I should write about them on any given day.

Goddamnit. I think I’ve done that, too.

Okay, moving on.

I’m incredibly excited to tell you, future subscribers (wink), that filming videos makes me more productive. I’m not saying that I am a giant procrastinator, but showing my face, with all its imperfections, connects me more to my creative side. Now I feel a lot more compelled to power through a long night of writing so I can be able to share my stories with you.

Once more, thank you very much for being here.

I have some new ideas for my channel. As you know, if you read my bio on my websitepedia, I like to write scary and suspense stories, for the most part. I also have a fictionalized journal of my life in the United States. As one of my imaginary friends says, “I’m dipping my toes everywhere to see what sticks.”

It looks that way.

Just recently, while looking for more waters to dip my toes in, I decided to take advantage of the awesome camera on my iPhone and make videos! I want to talk about books and writing in a fun way. I want to make this entertaining. And this is why I have decided to read my stories on my channel—all of them.

Well, I’ll have my imaginary friends do the reading. I have other things to do. I’m doing this because I would love to share my stories with more people. Nowadays, many people don’t have time to read due to the job or several other daily responsibilities they have piled up in their busy schedules.

So, I thought, why not? Make a video with the screen black, or add anything else to the screen to make people relax while they are at home, ready to rest after a gruesome day at work. It’s gonna be like a podcast… kinda.

(Wait a minute! I also have a podcast!!! Did I forget about that?)

I think I’m losing my mind.

This new idea will be quite a challenge since I’m also planning to do it on my Spanish channel, which means I’m gonna be translating all of my stories.

(*Suspense music here)

Sounds like a lot.

But this is what makes me happy. And that’s all that matters, people. We have to do what makes us happy.

To summarize, what you’re gonna find on my channel are videos of me talking about writing, the books I read, the stories I’m working on, etc., etc., etc. While I do that, my imaginary friends are going to be reading the stories. John will be reading the horror and suspense stories, Galuri is going to read his memoirs.

And more ideas are cooking in my head, but, as I said, I gotta take it slow. I have all the time in the world.

That’s it for today, folks. Don’t forget to subscribe and tell everyone about it. Also, talk to me on social media: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, where I share anything that has to do with books and writing and my personal life. Last but not least, I would love to read your suggestions! Drop a comment below and tell us: what other future ideas do you have for this channel? Can’t wait to read your comments.

There is a lot more stuff I can write on my blog.

Until next time. Goodbye!
